Hanna HI1291D pH electrode
The HI1291D is a pH electrode designed for a variety of applications, with features that optimize accuracy and durability.
Main characteristics
General Purpose Glass (GP): Suitable for samples with temperatures between 0 and 70°C.
Spherical bulb shape: Ideal for general measurements.
PEI (Polyetherimide) body: High chemical and mechanical resistance, suitable for field work.
Single ceramic gasket and double joint: Reduces contamination and prolongs electrode life.
DIN connector: Compatible with HI207 and HI208 pH meters only.
Technical details
General Purpose Glass (GP)
It has a resistance of 100 megohms at 25°C, making it suitable for most applications.
Not recommended for extremely high temperatures, as this may affect electrode life.
Spherical bulb
Standard design for general applications.
Other shapes include conical for penetration and flat tip for surface measurements.
PEI (Polyetherimide) body
Material resistant to aggressive chemicals.
Extra protection for the glass bulb, minimizing the risk of breakage due to accidental shocks.
Ceramic gasket and double junction
Single junction electrodes can be more easily contaminated in adverse conditions (high temperatures, highly acidic or alkaline solutions).
The double junction design minimizes contamination and electrode clogging, ensuring more stable measurements.
DIN connector
Exclusive for HI207 and HI208 meter models.
Not compatible with other meters with BNC, screw, T-type or 3.5 mm connections.
Advantages of the double junction system
Avoids electrode contamination in solutions with high temperatures, pressures or aggressive chemicals.
Reduces the possibility of clogging by silver chloride (AgCl) precipitation.
Compatible with buffer solutions and samples containing heavy metals without affecting their performance.
This electrode is ideal for general laboratory and field applications, ensuring reliable measurement and increased durability.
