For use in cuvettes used in Checker HC handheld colorimeters (HI700 series), photometers (HI96000 portable series and HI83000 benchtop series) and turbidity meters. These cloths remove dirt, grease, and fingerprints from the trays so that the glass is clean for unobstructed light transmission.
The use of clean, scratch-free cuvettes in photometers, colorimeters, and turbidity meters is critical to obtaining an accurate measurement. These systems have an optical base in which light must be transmitted through the glass vial to be detected by a silicon photodetector.
Any interference in the path of the light will affect how the light will interact with the sample to be measured and ultimately affect the result obtained from the meter. Using clean HI731318 microfiber cloths will not scratch the trays, which could interfere with the optical system.
