Description
Milwaukee MI490 Peroxide Photometer
The Milwaukee MI490 light meter is for users who demand fast, reliable, and repeatable results with ease of use.
DESCRIPTION
The Milwaukee MI490 light meter features manual zero-point calibration and fast operation in a rugged design.
The Milwaukee photometer is ideal for users in food and olive oil production applications. This meter is also ideal for educators who want their students to learn the basics of olive oil quality analysis to apply in the real world.
The Milwaukee MI490 light meter offers:
VELOCITY
The MI490 microprocessor delivers fast results with an accuracy of ± 0.5 meq O2/kg and is repeatable.
EASY TO USE AND RESISTANT
This robust meter is designed to withstand shocks. Its low-maintenance design combined with easy-to-use reagents makes the MI490 ideal for everyone from educators, quality laboratory professionals to olive oil producers and growers.
DESIGN FEATURES
– Fast, easy-to-read results with a large digital LCD readout.
– Accuracy of ± 0.5 meq O2/kg and a range of 0.0 to 25.0 meq O2/kg.
– Lightweight, ergonomic and portable.
– Easy measurement: Simply mix the oil into the vial sample, shake gently, insert the cuvette, zero the meter, and then mix the reagents and read.
– Simple and easy reagent bottles.
– Simple 1-2-3 instructional steps.
– Automatic shut-off after 15 minutes of inactivity, 4 x 1.5 volt AA batteries.
– Adaptation of EC n. Method 2568/97.
BUILT-IN TIMER
The MI490 has a built-in timer that ensures that the proper reaction time is used for the chemical reaction. At the end of the timer, the meter will automatically take the reading. This feature ensures consistency across multiple users.
BUCKET CHAMBER
The MI490 has an indexing indentation built into the meter: the meter has an indentation that allows for a lock and key adjustment with the cuvette lid. This ensures that the cuvette is consistently indexed (in the same position) to maintain the same path length for accurate results.
ERROR MESSAGES
The MI490 has built-in error message display alerts. This helps the user ensure that no mistakes are made in the testing process. Messages include high beam, low beam, inverted sample procedure, excessive range readings, and zero calibration error to ensure the user has the most accurate error-free readings.
CALIBRATION
The MI490 has an easy-to-use zero-point calibration. Simply insert the vial of Perioxide reagent with 1 mL of oil sample into the chamber after shaking, index the cuvette and press the zero button. Your calibration is complete.
