Note:
If the device has been used in water for long periods, it is advisable to clean and maintain the electrode regularly. For example, after 10-15 days of continuous use, remove the electrode, clean it with clean water, recalibrate the device, and blot any water stains with a dry cloth.
ORP electrodes should be cleaned with toothpaste, as prolonged soaking in water can cause stains and impurities that contaminate the electrodes, thus reducing their lifespan.
It is recommended to replace the pH electrode after 3 months of continuous use. The high salinity of seawater, in particular, is corrosive to the electrodes, so regular cleaning and maintenance is required.
