Portable Fluoride Meter – HI98402
The HI98402 is a portable, waterproof and rugged fluoride meter. This meter offers many features including automatic calibration, on-screen instructions, and automatic temperature compensation. The HI98402 requires a half-cell fluoride electrode with HI4010 epoxy body and a HI5313 reference electrode constructed of PEI material. They are available as accessories.
The HI98402 is a rugged, portable fluoride meter designed to provide laboratory accuracy and accuracy in harsh environmental conditions. This meter is ideal for a variety of applications in drinking water treatment, environmental monitoring, and electroplating baths. The HI98402 offers a variety of features including five distinct measurement ranges, automatic calibration to 1 or 2 points, automatic temperature compensation, and on-screen instructions.
The HI98402 uses a BNC input to connect the fluoride half-cell electrode and another for the reference electrode. A separate RCA connector is used for a thermistor temperature probe. The temperature probe provides measurement with accuracy of ±0.2°C for accurate temperature compensation.
General Features
One- or Two-Point Calibration – Automatic calibration can be performed at 1 or 2 points using the 5 programmed standards (1 mg/L, 2 mg/L, 10 mg/L, 100 mg/L, and 1000 mg/L).
On-Screen Instructions – Clear and easy-to-use on-screen instructions will guide you through all the steps to perform a calibration and take measurements.
Fluoride Half Cell Electrode and Reference – The HI98402 requires two half-cell electrodes to measure fluoride. The HI4010 is a fluoride half-cell electrode that includes an epoxy body and lanthanum fluoride crystal sensing membrane.
The HI5313 is a half-cell reference electrode with a tapered junction that produces a highly stable reference potential and constant electrolyte flow. The gauge, electrodes and temperature probe assembly form a complete and accurate measurement system.
Automatic Temperature Compensation – The HI98402 offers automatic temperature compensation for fluoride measurements in the range of -5.0 to 55.0°C.
