Description
HI 93706 reagents are a reagent kit used for the measurement of phosphorus in fresh and salt water. This reagent kit is compatible with Hanna HI 83200 and HI 83225 photometers.
Phosphorus is an essential nutrient for plant and algae growth. However, when phosphorus levels in the water are too high, it can lead to algae blooms and eutrophication of the water, which can have harmful effects on the aquatic ecosystem.
HI 93706 reagents are designed to provide accurate and reliable measurement of phosphorus levels in water, which can be useful in environmental, aquaculture, and water treatment applications.
The HI 93706 Reagent Kit contains 100 tests and is used for the measurement of phosphorus in the range of 0 to 200 ppb (parts per billion). The reagents are in powder form and must be dissolved in water before use. The measurement process is simple and fast, and the results can be read directly on the Hanna photometer.
It is important to note that for the most accurate and reliable results, it is necessary to carefully follow the instructions for use included in the reagent kit. In addition, it is essential to use high-quality and correctly calibrated equipment to ensure the accuracy of the measurements.
The HI93706-01 is a high-quality, pre-prepared reagent, allowing users to achieve fast and accurate colorimetric measurements. The method is an adaptation of the Standard Methods for the Analysis of Drinking Water and Wastewater, 18th edition, Amino Acid Method. The reaction between the phosphate and the reactants causes a blue color in the sample. When the reagents are added to the sample, a reaction will occur and a compatible benchtop or portable meter can be used to determine the concentration of the color being produced. Results will be displayed in mg/L (ppm) of phosphorus (P). These reagents are designed to be used with samples that have an expected range of 0.0 to 15.0 mg/L of phosphorus.
These reagents do not measure acidic hydrolyzable phosphorus or total phosphorus. Reagents should be ordered separately to measure these forms of phosphorus with the appropriate meter. The HI93706-0 reagents measure orthophosphate and report only this fraction.
