HI96770-01 are reagents for the colorimetric determination of silica. There are enough reagents for 100 tests that can be used with Hanna’s compatible handheld photometer, HI96770.

HI96770-01 are high quality reagents that are pre-measured, allowing users to achieve fast and accurate colorimetric measurements.
These reagents follow USEPA method 370.1 and standard method 4500-SiO 2 C in which the reaction between silica and the reagents causes a yellow tint in the sample.
By adding the powder packets in the proper order, the reaction will take place and the Hanna compatible portable photometer (HI96770) will determine the concentration from the color produced. The results will be displayed in mg/L (ppm) of silica.
These reagents are designed for use with samples having an expected range of 0 to 200 mg/L silica.
