Description
HI38039-100 are replacement reagents for the colorimetric determination of iron with the HI38039 Low Range Iron Test Kit. There are enough reagents for 100 tests to be used with the Hanna test kit.
They are manufactured in state-of-the-art facilities and are clearly marked with the lot number and expiration date on each sachet for traceability.
Prefabricated reagents for ease of use
Prepared with high purity chemicals
Marked with expiration date and lot number for traceability
HI38039-100 are high quality, pre-prepared reagents, allowing users to achieve fast and accurate iron measurements with the chemical test kit.
These reagents follow the phenanthroline method to determine the concentration of iron (Fe2+ and Fe3+). For iron determination, all ferric ions (Fe3+) are reduced to ferrous ions (Fe2+) before the phenanthroline reagent is added to the sample.
The reaction between the ferrous ions and the reagent causes an orange complex to form. The higher the concentration, the deeper the color.
A Checker disk is included for accurate visual, side-by-side analysis to determine iron concentration. These reagents are designed for use with samples that have an expected range of 0.00 to 1.00 mg/L (ppm) iron.
